CROXATTO OUD is the perfume with the highest concentration of top-grade Oud I know of among Western-style perfumes. In addition, it is infused with the rare and striking Croton Eluteria bark oil (cascarilla bark oil) of the highest quality, in an amount that likely multiplies by ten the quantity found in the perfume with the most of it on the entire market. It does not align with industry standards. This is an independent perfume.

The production of this formulation faces two significant barriers: the high cost of its ingredients and the difficulty of obtaining them. According to common market practice, due to its production cost, this perfume should be sold at twice its current price. By selling it directly, distribution and retail commissions are avoided, which allows all that savings to be reflected in the final price.

Even so, the price is not exactly affordable. And due to the characteristics of the perfume itself, I can tell you it is not aimed at the masses. In fact, if you're unsure, or Oud has never particularly excited you, I recommend not acquiring it.

UNFILTERED

Bottled without filtering, allowing it to continue evolving and gaining character over time.

The presence of natural Oud introduces a distinctive feature: the possible appearance of particles as time passes. These particles are natural sediments derived from the Oud itself, which contains resins, dense oils, and organic compounds that, as they mature in the alcohol base of the perfume, may subtly precipitate. They may appear as delicate clouds, microcrystals, or light deposits at the bottom of the bottle.

If the bottle has remained still for several days, gently move it before applying.

PRODUCTION LIMITS

The annual availability of Oud and Cascarilla of the quality we use is limited; furthermore, the 2-month maturation and 6-month maceration periods required by the perfume add complexity to the production process. For this reason, and to maintain controlled quality, we have decided to produce it in non-mass batches.

The total number of bottles for batch no. 1 is 750 units. Initially, we offered 550 with the intention of keeping 200 for direct sale. However, during the private reservation process, reservations exceeded 550, so we have decided to release all units for reservation—there will be no direct sale.

If you miss the opportunity to purchase batch no. 1, you can sign up for the private reservation alert for batch no. 2, which is available on this same page here.

WHEN WILL BATCH NO. 2 BE RELEASED?

We don't know yet, but due to the search for the right Oud, the selection of the bark, and the time required for maturation and maceration, we expect a long wait—possibly 2026.

We are currently searching for the right Oud for batch no. 2. As the process moves forward, we will keep you updated with the details.

HOW TO KNOW WHICH BATCH MY CROXATTO OUD IS FROM?

The batch of each perfume is laser-engraved on the bottom of the bottle and printed on the box. The code includes the year of production and a letter indicating the batch number for that year: the first is "A", the second "B", and so on. For example, batch no. 1 will have the code "2025A".

THE SCENT

You will radiate a scent saturated with pure Italian style: elegant, exclusive, fresh, and aged. Where the Oud, as the protagonist, imparts all its "vintage leather jacket" character. It evokes the unmistakable calm of Vito Corleone in a leather trench coat and tie on Fifth Avenue.

OLFACTORY NOTES

Croton Bahamas; fermented tobacco; leather

BASE
Wild Oud; blackcurrant distillate; tropical woods; sea water, sun, and time

LONGEVITY AND PROJECTION

It is a fresh and subtle fragrance, but not a soft one. It makes itself known, yet doesn’t linger more than necessary. The use of natural oud, in particular, gives it an implacable character and nobility.

Don’t be mistaken in thinking that, because this is a high-priced perfume, it will have extreme longevity and massive projection — this is not that fragrance. For that, I recommend exploring other options available on the market, many of which are more affordable.

STORY

After 4 years in the perfume production business and 2 years of studying this multifaceted material that is Oud, I decided to execute a personalist composition that represents the way I want to use Oud in a men's perfume. CROXATTO OUD is made with abundant quantities of an exceptional Assam Oud from Bangladesh, one of the most desired in the world, and an extraordinary dose of cascarilla bark oil from the Bahamas, which I personally selected and purchased in the USA, of the highest available quality.

It has happened to me several times—when I mention the ingredients, quantities, and costs of this formula to someone in this industry, they seem to look at me with pity: who could be so stupid as to insist on wasting ingredients like this, when you could make all kinds of synthetic versions at a fraction of the cost? Or you could add all sorts of boosters to the Oud: ambrinols, civet, cypriols, etc. CROXATTO OUD contains no Oud boosters—what smells like Oud and leather in this perfume is just pure Oud, with no enhancers, no substitutes.

I had to insist on the madness of using exactly what I believed was best for this perfume, because, for me and many connoisseurs, there *is* a difference. When you know low-quality or synthetic Oud, you understand why it doesn’t even come close to top-grade. Even if you have little experience, you see the radical difference.
